| NH Scholars |
The New Hampshire Scholars is part of the State Scholars Initiative, a national program that encourages and motivates all high school students to complete a rigorous course of study that prepares them for a successful transition to college coursework or technical training necessary to enter today’s competitive job market. The State Scholars Initiative started with six pilot school districts and has grown to over fifty. Souhegan High School has joined the initiative and has begun to roll out the program to our students during the course selection period. Each year, NH Scholars requirements will be re-introduced during course selection. |

| Project Graduation 2012 |
| The communities of Amherst and Mont Vernon are planning the 7th Annual Project Graduation celebration to be held at the Hampshire Dome. Project Graduation is a drug- and alcohol-free, fun and safe opportunity for all graduates to celebrate their accomplishments. Many community members volunteer their time throughout the year for planning, and are present at the event. Most importantly, this all-night celebration keeps our students off the roads on graduation night – an evening notoriously dangerous for our kids to be in cars. More than 80% of the graduates from Souhegan have attended this memorable event. Form is included in this article. |
